Blog Post: Don’t Let the Funk, Cloud Your Vision

Some days I wake up and find myself in a funk, feeling down.

Have you ever felt yourself in a funk and wanting to start the day over?

You don’t even remember how you got there and can’t seem to get out of it. It’s consumed so much of your day-to-day life that it’s become a part of you. It even has you feeling like nothing is going right.

Then one day you have the urge to do everything you want to do. Thinking back to those days you sat in your bed planning your goals. You often get caught up in life, that you forget what you wanted to accomplish.

You always had a vision of what you wanted your life to look like. Sometimes you find yourself down because you think you aren’t doing your best.

The thoughts of not being where you want to be invade your mind throughout the day. But you must think about those goals you have accomplished, even the small ones. It’s easy to forget but they helped you get where you are today.

You may even wish that you were Raven Baxter from “That’s So Raven”. So that you can get a glimpse of what your future looks like.

If you were Raven and got visions of what’s going to happen, would you let it play out the way it’s intended to? Or would you try and take the fast way out? I think that’s why it takes time for you to get where you want to be.

When you don’t take the short cuts, you learn the lessons that can help prepare you for your future. So that you know how to overcome any obstacles that may come your way.

The hope is that your future is better than your present and past. If you don’t take your time, your future may not go as planned.

And so yes, you may find yourself not happy because you feel you aren’t where you want to be right now. Maybe you are exactly where you need to be.

Even if it doesn’t seem like it, this is your time. Don’t worry about what everyone has going on around you.

That’s often how you find yourself taking the easy way out so that you can reach the end faster. Instead of trying to move fast, take your time and enjoy where you are now.

Although life comes with all these responsibilities, it’s okay to enjoy it. Live the life you were meant to live. Sometimes you may not know what you’re doing but live it the best way you know how.

To be honest, it’s the goals and ideas that makes each day exciting. Even if you don’t realize it each day brings you closer to that vision.
